I used to work for a large organisation that had their own HR & training teams. A great lady I met in HR told that “there is no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone.” As I am about to start an MA in Photography, I wonder what discomfort I will endure over the next year, but in the spirit of “growth is good”, I have taken lots of photos with people in them over the last few weeks (more than 600). My landscape work has very rarely had people in (why would you want that!?)…so my challenge was not only to take photos with people in but also to take photos where the people make the photo – my favourite example (so far!) is shown below – the lady with the umbrella really makes the photo for me.
